Mercy Mwende

Mercy is a social agri-preneur with a passion for community development, particularly, empowering bottom of the pyramid women. Her work with smallholder women farmers has earned her numerous awards and recognitions, nationally and globally, for her innovative and outstanding work in the area of women empowerment, social entrepreneurship and food security. Some of these include the NETFUND 2015 Green Innovations Award, the 2013 Enablis Business Plan Award and the 2011 Top Young Entrepreneur. Within the Board, she heads the Committee on Fundraising and Partnerships.
